Dyes: Penetrating and Leveling
Thomsen's Leather Dye:
Thomsen’s Leather Dye is a solvent based dye
that provides superior penetration and color depth. Thomsen’s Leather Dye is widely
used in the manufacture of all smooth leather goods by today’s industry leaders.
Thomsen’s Leather Dye is available in all popular colors including Jet Black.
Application: Spray or Manual
DLD Series Leveling Dye:
This oil dye contains leveling properties with good
penetration and uniform color. When used in a spray application, this dye has
reduced dye use and cost by 20% - 30%. DLD series dyes are ideal for achieving a
“uniform” finish, even when using less than perfect leather.

Neat Leather Dye:
This solvent based leather dye is designed to be
blended with DYO Neatsfoot Oil Compound. This achieves a marvelous leveled color and gives
the look and feel of a finish that would have required many more man hours with another
method. DYO Neat Leather Dye is widely used in the manufacture of saddles and tack.
Once mixed with DYO Neatsfoot Oil Compound, Neat Leather Dye stays in the solution.

Dyotone:
Dyotone is a transparent leather color used to
shade leathers. It is also used in decorative hand painting. Dyotone may be
airbrushed on upper edges of belts to achieve a two-tone effect. It ids also used in the
re-coloring of leather to give extra color depth and shading.

Thomsen's Suede Dye:
This penetrating, semi-transparent dye may be
applied to clean suede to change color. The final color will depend on the color of the
leather prior to dyeing. Thomsen’s Suede Dye is available in 12 inter-mixable colors
including neutral for lightening the color.

Colored Finishes
Color Cote:
DYO Color Cote is the most advanced and versatile
pigmented finish available for leather today. Color Cote is aqueous, and is quick
drying. Once set, Color Cote is waterproof and resistant to most solvents. In
addition to leather, Color Cote also adheres very well to vinyl’s and other
synthetics. Color Cote is also safer and more cost efficient than many finishes.
It’s aqueous nature allows easy clean-up. There are no harmful fumes and no hazardous
material disposal.

Holster Cote & Belt Cote:
DYO’s Holster Cote and Belt Cote offer the
same advantages as Color Cote, as well as cost efficiency. Holster Cote or Belt Cote
should be applied as the top cote colorant after the base dye has dried. Thomsen’s
Leather Dye or DLD series dyes are recommended as the base dye for this easy two step
system.

Antique Finish:
This concentrated background colorant is specially
designed for tooled and embossed leathers. The non-waxy Antique Finish is a superb base
for top finishes that will complete your high quality finished products. It is available
in all popular colors. Use ANTIQUE SEALER prior to ANTIQUE FINISH to prevent coloring of
non-embossed areas of leather.

Top Coat Finishes
Clear Cote:
A flexible, medium gloss acrylic top coat finish
that adheres well to all smooth leathers and all other DYO Products. Clear Cote quickly
dries to a water resistant, attractive finish. Clear Cote also offers the advantages of
being a water based finish. Clear Cote is also available in Matte Finish.

Top Cote 3305:
This medium gloss, water based clear finish
produces a slight “waxy hand.” Top Cote 3305 adheres to all smooth leathers as
well as leathers that have been oiled. It can also be “oiled through”, once
cured. Widely used in the manufacture of saddles & tack.

Top Cote 4119:
This high gloss, water based clear finish adheres
well to all smooth leathers. Top Cote 4119 provides a smooth, even feel and can be applied
to leathers that have been dyed or finished with any DYO product. Widely used in the
manufacture of belts, holsters, and personal leather goods.

Top Cote 820:
Top Cote 820 is a water based, clear, top cote
finish that is applied manually to create or restore a high gloss factory finish to fine
boots & shoes. Top Cote 820 will not discolor or damage the colored finish of the
footwear and can be used on all smooth leathers including exotics. If thinning is desired,
thin with water only.

Top Cote 840:
Top Cote 840 is designed to produce a semi-high
gloss, clear, factory finish. Like Top Cote 820, it is water based and non-hazardous. Top
Cote 840 however, offers the advantage of being sprayable. Top Cote 840 is considered the
premier finishing product for many of the leading footwear manufacturers.

Top Cote # 9:
Top Cote # 9 is the most durable clear top cote
currently available. Top Cote # 9 offers excellent adherence, flexibility and stands side
by side with DYO Tuff Cote in terms of abrasion, scuff, and impact resistance. Top
Cote # 9 provides a high gloss and is water based. The intense gloss achieved with Top
Cote # 9 makes it the perfect top cote for exotic leathers such as alligator, ostrich, and
lizard.

Edge Finishes
DYO Edge Finish:
DYO Edge Finish is a non-hazardous, non-flammable,
quick drying edge finish. DYO Edge Finish produces a smooth, even edge that provides the
perfect finished look to your quality footwear. DYO Edge Finish is available in many
popular colors and Custom Color Matching is also available. Burnishing is not required
when using DYO Edge Finish, just apply and allow to dry.
Application: Spray, Manual, or Edging Machine
Manual Edge Ink:
Manual Edge Ink is a “thick,” water based
edge finish that quickly fills in between the fibers of exposed leather and dries to a
smooth, glossy edge. Manual Edge Ink will not crack or peel, and once dry is waterproof.
Manual Edge Ink is available in popular edge colors as well as Custom Matched Colors.
Burnishing is not required when using Manual Edge Ink.

Finishing Oils
DYO Dipping Oil:
Dyo Dipping Oil is a revolutionary finishing
product for leather goods manufacturers. When pieces are dipped in DYO Dipping Oil they
display an even, well oiled finish that dries much quicker than traditional oils and there
is not the oily residue produced by many oil finishing products.
Application: Dip & Lay Flat to Dry
DYO Pure Neatsfoot Oil:
A trusted favorite, important in the finishing
process of the manufacture of many leather goods. Pure Neatsfoot Oil penetrates leather to
instill long lasting conditioning properties, as well as allowing the manufacturer to
achieve various shades of colors. Dyo Pure Neatsfoot Oil keeps leather healthy and pliable
and is also an excellent darkening agent. It is recommended for the regular conditioning
of saddles, tack, holsters, and other heavy wear goods.

DYO Prime Neatsfoot Oil Compound:
DYO Prime Neatsfoot Oil Compound offers all the
advantages of Pure Neatsfoot Oil as well as the added advantage of being much more cost
effective. It will not crack or damage leather goods. This compound is used for
conditioning, finishing, darkening, and general maintenance of heavy wear leather goods.

Leather Sealers
Leather Sealer # 14:
Leather Sealer # 14 is applied to footwear after
the conditioning process has been completed, and prior to the application of Top Cote.
Leather Sealer # 14 adds body to the leather and creates a smooth even base for the Top
Cote. This smooth base is important because it promotes good adhesion and attractive gloss
characteristics.
Application: Spray or Manual
Antique Sealer:
This fast drying, sealing solution should be
applied to tooled leathers such as belts and holsters prior to the application of DYO
Antique Finish. Antique Sealer will prevent the unwanted coloration of smooth leather
portions of tooled leather goods.

Cleaners & Soaps
Leather Soap:
DYO Leather Soap is a non-hazardous, water based
cleaner for leather. Leather Soap’s deep foaming action lifts dirt, grime, and
residue from the pores of the leather to leaves a clean, smooth, pliable surface.
Application: Manual
Glycerine Saddle Soap:
Liquid glycerine saddle soap is used for deep
cleaning of saddles, tack, and other leather goods. This is a pure natural soap that
contains no detergents. Glycerine Saddle Soap leaves leather soft and supple. When
buffed, it produces an attractive natural finish.
Application: Manual
DYO Foam Powder:
Dyo Foam Powder is an all-purpose, powdered
detergent. When mixed with water it produces a powerful but sensitive cleaning agent. DYO
Foam Powder can be used to clean leather, vinyl, and most other man-made materials.
The recommended dilution is 6 oz. of powder to 1 gallon of water. As with all cleaning
products, test on a small inconspicuous area for color fastness before using.

DYO Spot Remover:
DYO Spot Remover is a Tried & True industry
favorite. DYO Spot Remover is a solvent-based dry cleaning agent that removes even the
toughest compounds; such as chewing gum, oil, tar, adhesives, and grease. DYO Spot Remover
is also the recommended “preparer” for many of the water-based colored finishes
including Color Cote & Tuff Cote.

DYO Deglazing Fluid:
DYO Deglazing Fluid is a powerful, solvent based
stripping compound used to remove old finishes before re-dyeing. DYO Deglazing Fluid
contains natural oils to keep the leather supple by restoring moisture that is often lost
in the deglazing process. For proper deglazing: remember to use DYO Deglazing Pads.

Suede Cleaner:
DYO Suede Cleaner is a superior cleaner for all
genuine suede leather. It is recommended for use on water-based stains, dust, and
dirt. Oil based stains can be removed with DYO Spot Remover. DYO Suede Cleaner is
water-based and non-hazardous.
Application: Manual
Vinyl Cleaner:
DYO Vinyl Cleaner is the ideal cleaning agent for
vinyl and most other synthetics. Merely apply to surface and wipe away grease, dirt, and
stains with a damp cloth.

Protectors
Water-Proofer 4500:
Water-Proofer 4500 is an excellent water and stain
protectant that is widely used in the manufacture of all leather goods. Once dry
Water-Proofer 4500 prevents the penetration of water and staining substances.
Water-Proofer 4500 is safe to use on all smooth leather, genuine suede leather, fabric,
and most other natural and man-made surfaces. It contains no silicone.

Triple Action Viscol:
DYO Triple Action Viscol is a silicone
waterproofing agent. Triple Action Viscol oils, waterproofs, and preserves leather as well
as extending its life and durability. It is recommended for hunting garments &
accessories or any leather goods that are often exposed to natures elements.

Leather Conditioners
Leather Balm:
DYO Leather Balm is an excellent dressing that will
clean, soften, and condition leather. Leather Balm cleans and polishes all smooth
leathers, as well as vinyl and other synthetics. Just apply Leather Balm liberally with a
soft cloth and allow to dry. Once dry, buff to a soft luster with a clean, dry cloth.
Leather Balm cleans, conditions, and polishes without discoloration.

Reptile Conditioner:
DYO Reptile Conditioner is specially formulated for
the cleaning and conditioning of all types and colors of exotic leathers. DYO Reptile
Conditioner is widely used on such popular skins as alligator, lizard, snake, ostrich, and
eel. It cleans and polishes without discoloration.

Distressed Leather Conditioner:
DYO’s Distressed Leather Conditioner is the
perfect conditioner and dressing for the oil tanned and distressed leathers of
